Job description DESGAGNÉS MARINE CARGO INC. is recruiting Masters for its cargo vessels trading on the Great Lakes, in Eastern Canada and in the Canadian Arctic.

The Master has full responsibility for the operational and administrative management of the vessel. The priorities are crew safety, ship safety, cargo integrity and environmental protection. The Master ensures the complete management of all activities, operations and maneuvers, as well as all personnel on board the vessel.

Abilities - Master Mariner Certificate of Competency (STCW)

- ECDIS Training

- Bridge Resources Management Training

- Ship-handling Training

- Valid Marine Medical Certificate

- Certificate of Competency in Marine Emergency Duties (STCW)

- Marine Advanced First Aid certificate

- Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience as Deck Officer

- Proficiency in English (Working Language)
