Main responsibilities for this position include being the reference point concerning culinary belonging and questions for all shipboard food operations, to monitor and control wastage in order to keep the food cost within the company's budget, and to participate in short daily food production meetings with the Chef de Partie.

Other duties include tasting the food before service in order to guarantee portion and quality control for guests as per company recipes, reporting any irregularities and defect of equipment and to facilitate a work environment that supports a successful safety culture.

A successful candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie Tournant. A Hotel School Diploma is preferred, but not essential.

Previous cruise ship experience is required for this position, as well as valid STCW basic safety training certificates, and a valid Discharge Book.
